About

Our garden is tucked away in the grounds of St George's Anglican Church and it's open for everyone in the community to use. A bunch of friendly volunteers take care of the basic stuff, but lots of families come in to plant their own little seedlings and gather their crops. If there's anything extra, we happily donate it to the Darfield Foodbank.

This community garden offers
  • Shared harvest and planting.
  • Independent plots & allotments.
  • Educational resources.
  • School & learning programs.
  • Food pantry or pātaka
  • Workshops
  • Cooking classes
  • Food forests
