About

Imagine a park overflowing with food! We've got over 40 types of apples, pears, nectarines, strawberries, raspberries, veggies, and herbs, and more than 4500 trees and plants. Our food forest is a place for everyone to gather, forage, and enjoy a good meal. With the help of our hardworking volunteers, the area is well-maintained and welcoming. There are sheltered spots perfect for picnics and safe spaces for children to play. We're not just a garden, we're a tourist destination too! We grow food and medicinal plants traditionally foraged by Māori. We also love to host food-related events like harvest festivals. Plus, community groups are always welcome to hold their events here.
